José Pedreira Menéndez
Of counsel
vCardDr Pedreira holds a Bachelor’s degree and a PhD in Law. He is Full Professor of Financial and Tax Law at the University of Oviedo and currently secretary of its Social Council.
Member of the Personal Income Tax Expert Group of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF) since 2016, he was its coordinator during the 2020-2024 period.
He has more than 100 publications on Financial and Tax Law, stays in foreign research centers and has been a speaker at numerous Spanish Universities, as well as in Spanish and foreign institutions.
José Pedreira is a recognized professional, honored with the First Class Distinguished Cross of San Raimundo de Peñafort Order for his contribution to the development and improvement of Law, and has received important awards for his academic and editorial work throughout his professional career, which has spanned more than 30 years.
Specializing in the non-profit sector, patronage and Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as in the implementation of cultural and R&D&I activities through different legal entities (foundations, associations, EIG, clusters, consortia, etc), he joined Garrido in 2018 to head the Non-Profit Entities Area.
